Social Marketing strategy for Bite Preventing Tools

The Innovative Vector Control Consortium (IVCC) seeks to develop a comprehensive understanding of the commercial market for bite-prevention tools in Cambodia and identify opportunities to strengthen their uptake alongside publicly funded procurement and distribution programs. The study will assess consumer demand, purchasing behavior, market dynamics, distribution channels, pricing, key market players, and the roles of both public and private sector institutions to develop a practical, evidence-based commercial marketing strategy.
The strategy will focus on expanding access to and adoption of bite-prevention tools across both consumer and institutional markets, ensuring that commercial channels effectively complement existing government and donor-supported distribution mechanisms. Findings from the Cambodia study will serve as the foundation for refining the research methodology, improving cost efficiency, validating research tools, and identifying best practices for implementation. These insights will inform subsequent market assessments across other countries in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), enabling the development of tailored commercial marketing strategies that reflect each country’s unique market conditions, consumer behaviors, and health system context.
